In the second year of elementary school, your child will enhance and improve their perception of the logic behind numbers.
They will learn further about addition and subtraction and will also be able to calculate simple multiplication and division exercises.
Among this year’s subjects are the fraction as a part of the whole, basic units of measurements, telling the time, different amounts of money, basic graph problems, simple symmetry, and basic number sequences.
2nd Grade Learning plan
The main subjects learned in the 2nd year are number sense to 1000, two-digit place value, two-digit addition, introduction to multiplication and division with a single digit, telling the time to the half-hour or five minutes, creating the same amounts of money from different coins and basic properties of common geometric figures like a square, a rectangle or a triangle.
