In the fourth year of elementary school, children will continue using their number sense skills with larger numbers than before.
They will be able to easily perform multiplication and division calculations and solve verbal problems with these operations.
Children will also be introduced to negative numbers and decimal numbers, while in the following years, they will implement arithmetic operations on these types of numbers.
Other subjects in this year’s curriculum are the order of operations and problems involving all four operations, converting units of measurements, the area of a shape on a grid, more advanced algebraic number sequences, and more.
